Bhubaneswar: Cyclone Yaas from bay of Bengal has caused a lot of devastation in Bengal and Odisha. It has had a direct impact on about one crore people. But in the meantime, in the midst of this great crisis in Odisha, many families have also had happiness in their homes. About 750 children were born in the states while Odisha was combating Cyclonic storm Yaas. Now many people are naming their child 'Yaas'. According to media reports, 750 children have been born in ten districts of Odisha during the yas havoc. Many of these families are registering their children's names. Many children were born on Tuesday night when a storm from the Bay of Bengal was knocking over Odisha. The cyclone has landed in Balasore, about 50 km from the district headquarters. Far away, Sonali Maiti gave birth to a boy and without delay, she named the child Yaas. Saraswati Bairagi, a stay in Kendrapara, did the same, naming her daughter, who was born during the cyclone, Yaas. This time the cyclone was named by Oman, yaas is a Persian word which in English is called as Jasmine.
