Heatwave conditions in India including Delhi, rain to provide relief soon

New Delhi: People in north India, including the capital Delhi, are reeling under the heat, though the weather in Delhi may see some change today.  Delhi is likely to receive dust storms and light rain for two consecutive days over the weekend. This is going to provide relief to the people of Delhi from the scorching heat.  Rain and hailstorm accompanied by strong winds are expected in many parts of the country including South India in the coming days of this week.

Meanwhile, heavy rain is expected at different places in several states of south India.  It has been learned that heavy rainfall is being predicted in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal in the next 3 days. Rain is also likely to occur in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad.  In Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, a hailstorm is likely to occur today and tomorrow.

According to the MET Ministry, light and gusty winds of 30-40 kmph are likely to prevail over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura between April 15 and 20.  Heavy fall in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya is likely to occur between April 17 and 20.  According to the report, a western disturbance is active in and around Pak.  The impact has created a cyclone on Central Pak and adjoining Rajasthan. These 2 systems are causing moisture in the atmosphere.  According to meteorologists, rain accompanied by dust storms is likely to occur at isolated places over several districts of Madhya Pradesh today.
