Petrol prices rise again, diesel prices stable

New Delhi: Petrol prices have been increased again on Tuesday. Petrol prices have increased by four to five paise in the main metros of the country. However, the price of diesel remains stable. At the same time, crude oil has returned to the international market again. According to the website of Indian Oil, petrol prices in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai have increased to Rs 82.08, Rs 83.57, Rs 88.73 and Rs 85.04 per liter respectively.

Whereas, diesel prices in the above four metros are stagnant at Rs 73.56, Rs 77.06, Rs 80.11 and Rs 78.86 per liter respectively. Oil marketing companies have increased the price of petrol by five paise in Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai by four paise per liter in Chennai. The price of petrol has increased by Rs 1.65 per liter in the country's capital Delhi from August 16 to now.

Brent crude's November delivery contract on the international futures market Inter Continental Exchange (ICE) was trading at $ 45.74 a barrel, up 1.02% over the previous session. At the same time, US light crude West Texas Intermediate (WTI) October delivery futures contract was trading 0.96 per cent higher at $ 43.02 a barrel as compared to the previous session.
