New Delhi: There was no change in the prices of petrol and diesel for the ninth consecutive day on Sunday. Diesel prices fell on October 1 and 2. The price of diesel has been stable for the past nine days and the price of petrol remained constant for the 19th consecutive day. Diesel has become cheaper by more than 3 rupees per liter in the last one month. The demand for crude oil has not yet increased due to coronavirus in the world. According to Indian Oil, a leading oil marketing company, petrol is being sold in Delhi today at Rs 81.06 while diesel at Rs 70.46 per liter. Petrol remained stable at Rs 87.74 per liter and diesel at Rs 76.86 per liter in Mumbai, the country's financial capital. In Kolkata, petrol is being sold at Rs 82.59 per liter and diesel at Rs 73.99 per liter. In Tamil Nadu capital Chennai, petrol is priced at Rs 84.14 per liter and diesel is priced at Rs 75.95 per liter. Petrol in Bangalore is being sold at Rs 83.69 per liter and diesel at Rs 74.63 per liter. In the last 14 days, the price of diesel has fallen by about 1 rupee.
