New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged on Tuesday. Earlier on Monday, prices had risen to a new record high. According to leading oil marketing company Indian Oil Corporation, petrol remained stable at Rs 96.41 and diesel at Rs 87.28 per litre in Delhi. The current trend of price rise began on 4th May. Petrol was costlier by Rs 3.83 and diesel by Rs 4.42 per litre during May in Delhi. Petrol price has gone up by Rs 2.18 and diesel by Rs 2.13 per litre in june so far. There was no change in the price of both the fuels in other cities also. Petrol price remained steady at Rs 102.58 and diesel at Rs 94.70 per litre in Mumbai. In Tamil Nadu, one litre of petrol was sold at Rs 97.69 and one litre of diesel at Rs 291.92 in Chennai. In Kolkata, petrol price remained at Rs 96.34 and diesel at Rs 90.12 per litre. State that the prices of petrol and diesel are reviewed every day and based on that, the new prices are introduced every day from 6 am.
