At that time the price of petrol and diesel was reduced by 15 paise and 10 paise. There has been no change in the price of fuel since then. Petrol in Delhi has priced at Rs 76.43 a liter and diesel Rs 67.85 a liter in Delhi. Compared to other metros and states' capital, prices are the lowest due to low sales tax or VAT in Delhi. The price of petrol and diesel reached the record level on May 29. While the petrol reached Rs 78.43 a liter on that day, the diesel went up to the highest level of Rs 67.85 a liter. Since then, crude oil in the international market has been cut by 14 times in the softening and strong rupee. In the last 14 days, petrol was cheaper by 2 rupees, while the cost of diesel has been reduced by 1.46 liters. On the contrary, during Karnataka elections, after the break in price revision for 19 days, from May 14, the price of petrol was 3.8 liters and diesel was increased by 3.38 rupees. Compared to the maximum value of fuel in the UPA government, the retail price is still high. During the UPA, on September 14, 2013, the petrol went up to Rs 76.06 a liter. The highest price of diesel was Rs 56.71 a liter on May 13, 2014. From January 1 this year, the price of petrol was increased to 6.46 liters and diesel 8.21 liters.
