LOS ANGELES: The Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine was 73 percent effective in protecting children ages six months through four years during the time when the Omicron strain was highly prevalent, Pfizer has announced. "In children under five, Pfizer's Covid-19 vaccination is 73 percent effective" it said. Pfizer in its statement said, "the Covid-19 vaccine developed by BioNTech and Pfizer was 73 percent successful in preventing the Omicron strain in children between the ages of 6 months and 4 years during this period". Pfizer-vaccine BioNTech's was administered in three 3-g doses to research participants, or a placebo.
