Mumbai: The Tamil remake of 'Pink', produced by Boney Kapoor with Ajith in the lead role, will release on August 10. Bollywood film Pink was a huge blockbuster in the year 2016 when it got released as the film focused on the stereotypical mindset of people regarding independent women in society. The film that starred Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in the lead role are all set to get it's Tamil remake released this year.

Directed by H. Vinoth, the film titled "Nerkonda Paarvai" also stars Shraddha Srinath, Andrea Tariang and Abhirami Iyer along with Vidya Balan, who makes a special appearance. Ajith's PRO shared this news of the release date on his social media account and wrote, “It is officially announced by Mr. Boney Kapoor that the release date of his Tamil Production @nerkondapaarvai is confirmed for August 10th. The film is currently being shot in Hyderabad and the shooting will get over by the third week of April. "Extremely excited and happy the way the film is shaping up," Boney said in a statement. This film is special for more than one ways as it'll mark as the Tamil debut of proclaimed Bollywood actress Vidya Balan, along with marking Boney Kapoor's entry into Tamil showbiz. The fans would be waiting with baited breath to finally get to watch it on big screens.
