Amidst the havoc of Corona, the first installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme has been sent to the accounts of the farmers. According to the central government figures, an amount of Rs 15,841 crore has been transferred to the bank account of 7.92 crore farmers. This statement has been said in the statement issued by the Ministry of Agriculture. Under the PM-Kisan Yojana, the central government sends an amount of six thousand rupees every year directly to their bank accounts, except for high-income farmers. This amount is sent in three installments. In view of the difficulties arising after the Koranavirus epidemic, the Central Government had announced to send the first installment of the current financial year to the accounts of the farmers at the beginning. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced this at the end of last month. In a statement issued by the Ministry of Agriculture on this matter, it has been said that to prevent the spread of Carona infection, 7.92 crore farming families have been benefited directly through the PM-Kisan scheme between the lockdown implemented from 25 March. The ministry has said that a total amount of Rs 15,841 crore has been sent to the accounts of farmers. At the same time, amidst the lockdown implemented across the country, on 27 March, the government announced that it would put the first installment of PM-Kisan in the bank accounts of eligible farmers in the first week of the new financial year.
