PM Modi advises ministers, keep relatives away from ministry

New Delhi: PM Modi is known to be very strict on work. He doesn't like any family interference in the work. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given strict instructions to his ministers not to appoint their relatives as advisors to the ministry. At the same time, the PM has asked the ministers not to make public claims that they cannot fulfill or which are not in their territory and do not need to talk about various issues.

The PM said this because he is angry with the media and public remarks of the ministers. He has categorically asked the Ministers to tell only the facts or make claims which can be established. Modi has already sent such a message to ministers. Addressing a meeting of the Council of Ministers on Wednesday, the PM said coordination between cabinet ministers and state ministers is necessary to improve the pace and direction of governance.

The Ministers should also interact with top officials like the Secretary of the Department as well as Joint Secretaries, Directors and Deputy Secretaries to make them feel that they are also part of the team. Prime Minister Modi asks ministers to reach the office by 9.30 am. The PM said that some ministers need to pay special attention to this directive. The PM said that he has advised on discipline, punctuality, and commitment to work on several occasions. If the Ministers restrict time, it will have an impact not only on their department but also on the functioning of the entire Government. PM Modi follows a very strict routine.
