PM Modi and JP Nadda responsible for Tirath Singh Rawat's resignation: Randeep Surjewala

Dehradun: The Congress on Saturday accused the BJP of Tirath Singh Rawat's resignation as CM of Uttarakhand and claimed that PM Narendra Modi and BJP president JP Nadda were responsible for "Changing CM like toys". Party chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said the people of Uttarakhand are now waiting for the elections so that they can give an opportunity to the Congress for a stable and progressive government.

He also told reporters, "The Devbhoomi of Uttarakhand, the greed for power of the BJP, the race for the cream of power and the failure of the BJP are becoming an example. Surjewala claimed, "The people of the state gave the BJP an opportunity to form the government by giving an absolute majority, but the BJP only distributed the cream of power and distributed power. This opportunity became a chance for the BJP to taste the cream of power".

Referring to the change of several Chief Ministers in the past, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh, he said, "BJP has a history of changing CM in a single term. The BJP keeps changing the CM like toys. This is what is happening in Uttarakhand". Surjewala alleged that PM Narendra Modi and JP Nadda were responsible for the situation.
