PM Modi released a number of Rs 1,625 crores for women entrepreneurs during which PM Modi interacted with women members of women Self Help Groups related to Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihood Mission. PM Modi said the way sisters served the countrymen through Self Help Groups in Corona is unprecedented. Whether it is making masks and sanitizers, delivering food to the needy, it is again an act of awareness, the contribution of your Sakhi groups in every way has been unparalleled. PM Modi further said that to expand the scope of entrepreneurship among women, major financial assistance has been released today for greater participation in the resolve of a self-reliant India. PM Modi further said that earlier most of the women used to keep money in kitchen boxes, but when our government came, we saw that there were crores of sisters in the country who did not even have a bank account, which was far from the banking system. So we first started a big way to open Jan Dhan accounts. PM Modi said that more than 42 crore Jan Dhan Banks are accounts, out of which 55 percent are with women.
