Gandhinagar: PM Narendra Modi is once again on a tour of his home state Gujarat today. During his two-day visit, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone and launch several development projects worth Rs 15,670 crore in the state. Today PM Modi inaugurated the Defense Expo 2022 in the state capital Gandhinagar. Indigenous weapons, defence equipment and technologies will be displayed in this Defense Expo. 100 countries of the world will witness the power of more than 430 defense equipment and weapons developed by DRDO. PM Modi also laid the foundation stone of 52 Wing Air Force Station Deesa along with inaugurating Mission Defspace in Gandhinagar. The Defense Expo 2022 event aims to showcase India's defence production capabilities. PM Modi will inaugurate "Mission Schools of Excellence" in Adalaj and will lay the foundation stones of several projects in Junagadh. PM Modi will also launch the "Indian Urban Housing Conclave-2022" and will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of many important projects in Rajkot. A government statement also said that on this visit, PM Modi will dedicate to the country more than 1,100 houses built under the Light House project. According to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), PM Modi will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate several development projects in Junagadh. After this, at 6 pm, he will inaugurate the “Indian Urban Housing Conclave” organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs in Rajkot. The event will provide a platform for all stakeholders to showcase their technology as well as deliberate on different options for technology materials and processes at large. More than 200 technology providers are expected to participate and showcase their products at the event.
