PM Modi praises Kerala's left government over no wastage of corona vaccine

New Delhi: PM Modi today lauded the Kerala government's efforts to prevent the wastage of corona vaccine and said it is very important to stop wastage of vaccine in the war against the epidemic. In fact, Kerala CM Pinrai Vijayan had tweeted on Tuesday that the state received 73,38,806 doses of vaccine from the central government and 74,26,164 doses were given using additional doses available. CM Vijayan praised the health workers of the state, especially nurses, for this.

Later, PM Modi tagged CM Pinarayi Vijayan's tweet and wrote on Wednesday, "It is nice to see our health workers and nurses set an example in reducing vaccine wastage. Reducing the wastage of vaccines is very important to strengthen the war against the corona epidemic". The number of infected people in Kerala had increased to 17,01,979 after 37,190 new cases of corona virus infection were registered on Tuesday. In view of the steady rise in new cases of corona epidemic, strict lockdown-like restrictions have been imposed in the state from May 4 to May 9.

The number of people who lost their lives due to corona epidemic has gone up to 2,26,188, while 3,82,315 new cases of infection have been registered in a day. The Union Health Ministry said that after these new cases, the total cases of corona have increased to 2,06,65,148.
