Bhopal: Addressing the 'Jan Jatiya Gaurav Diwas' celebrations on the birth anniversary of Freedom Fighter Birsa Munda, PM Narendra Modi has hit out at post-independence governments to keep tribals in the dark. He has said that the post-independence governments did not inform the country about the rich heritage of the tribals. Earlier, he welcomed lakhs of tribals who have come to the conference in their language and said, "I am going to welcome you." He addressed the tribals in their language for a minute. Earlier, on the occasion of the arrival of the PM on stage, he was dressed in tribal costumes. The tribal leaders also wore traditional jackets brought from Jhabua and a turban from Dindori. BLP national minister Om Prakash Dhurve tried to touch his feet amidst the reception and was stopped by the PM. He adds, "I am happy that free vaccination is being done at a rapid pace in tribal families in Madhya Pradesh. Even in educated countries of the world, there are reports about questioning vaccination. But, my tribal brothers and sisters understand the importance of vaccination.
