PM Modi unveils 'Bapu' statue in Hiroshima, also meets Japanese PM Kishida

Hiroshima: PM Narendra Modi has reached Japan to attend the annual summit of G-7. During this, PM Modi unveiled the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Hiroshima, Japan. Here PM Modi said that the statue of Pujya Bapu will serve as an inspiration in taking forward the ideas of non-violence and compassion. Along with this, PM Modi also met Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in Hiroshima.

As per reports, PM Modi also interacted with people from the Indian community after unveiling Bapu's statue. During this, PM Modi said, 'Even today the whole world trembles on hearing the name of Hiroshima. In this visit to the G7 Summit, I have the privilege of unveiling the statue of respected Mahatma Gandhi first. Today the whole world is fighting the war of climate change and terrorism. Pujya Bapu's ideals are the best way to win the ongoing battle with climate change. His lifestyle has been a perfect example of respect, coordination and dedication towards nature.'

Prime Minister Modi further said that the land of Buddha and Gandhi, who gave the message of peace to the world, and Japan, which flourished and nurtured the thoughts of Lord Buddha, the statue of Pujya Bapu is a great inspiration in carrying forward those thoughts of non-violence and compassion.
