'Doctors are another form of God..', PM Modi salutes doctors' sacrifice

New Delhi: PM Modi today addressed doctors across the country on the occasion of Doctors' Day. PM Narendra Modi said that the way our doctors have served the country during corona is an inspiration in itself, I express my gratitude to all the doctors of 130 crore Indians, doctors are called other forms of God.

PM Modi said that "When the country is fighting a battle against corona, doctors have saved millions of lives, many doctors have sacrificed their lives in tireless efforts, I pay homage to all those souls, our government has given top priority to health service". Explaining the efforts being made by his government, PM Modi said 'During the first wave of corona last year, we sanctioned Rs 15,000 crore to improve our health infrastructure, with a budget allocation of over Rs 2 lakh crore for healthcare this year'.

Attacking previous governments, PM Modi said, "You know very well the limitations of the medical infrastructure that was created in the country in so many decades, you are also familiar with how medical infrastructure was ignored in earlier times, the focus of our government is on medical infrastructure."
