PM Modi's cabinet meeting today, may take important decision on Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar: A key Cabinet meeting is going to be held today under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi. The meeting will begin at 09.30 am at the Prime Minister's residence at 7 public welfare routes. Efforts are being made to brainstorm on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, removal of Annuch 35A and Section 370. In view of the tense situation in the valley, Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik has held an emergency meeting with the DGP and Chief Secretary of the province.

Mobile internet services have been discontinued in Kashmir. All educational institutions in Jammu have been instructed to remain closed. In Srinagar, section 144 has been imposed in all the areas. In Jammu and Kashmir, National Conference leader Omar Abdullah and PDP President Mehbooba Mufti have been detained. 40 companies of CRPF have been deployed in 8 districts of Jammu.

Cable TV services have been suspended in Srinagar in view of security. No leader is allowed to rally. Section 144 is in force at 6 a.m. in the province. On the question of toughness on the leaders, the Home Ministry has said that all these are being done in view of security. The Jammu and Kashmir government has made it clear that no curfew has been imposed in the province. All these arrangements are being made in view of security.
