Lucknow: PM Modi has gifted millions of people in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. PM Modi has transferred rs 2,691 crore under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) through video conferencing. The scheme will benefit 6 lakh 10,000 people of UP. Union Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and UP CM Yogi Adityanath were also present. There are 5.30 lakh beneficiaries who have received the first installment of financial assistance, while 80,000 beneficiaries who received the second installment. In the meantime, CM Yogi said that houses are being provided to the poor in the country by the BJP government. He said more than seven lakh houses have been sanctioned for UP. The PM Awas Yojana has fulfilled the dream of every poor household. During the event, PM Modi also interacted with the beneficiaries. The beneficiaries also expressed gratitude to PM Modi. The beneficiaries said that they did not expect that they would get such great help from the government. They are very happy to have it. It may be noted that PM Modi had promised to provide pucca houses to all under PMAY-G by the year 2022. The scheme was launched on 20 November 2016. Under this scheme, 1.26 crore houses have been set up across the country. 100% grant (Rs 1.20) lakh is given to each beneficiary in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin). While hilly states, north-eastern states/states are not in the way. Inaccessible Places/Places Financial assistance of Rs 1.30 lakh is provided in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh Union Territories.
