Porsche Taycan GTS and 4: The Future of Luxury Electric Driving

Porsche has introduced two exciting new variants in the Taycan range: the Taycan 4 and the Taycan GTS, further expanding their popular luxury electric vehicle lineup. The Taycan has been a key player in the electric car market since its debut in 2019, and with a recent facelift in February 2024, Porsche has added these two models to offer more options for customers.

The Taycan 4 is the entry-level all-wheel-drive (AWD) version of the Taycan, now available in both the sedan and Sport Turismo body styles. The Taycan GTS, on the other hand, is the sportier variant that sits between the base S model and the high-performance Turbo model. It offers a balance of power, performance, and sleek design.

Porsche Taycan GTS The Taycan GTS is the more performance-oriented model in the Taycan range, boasting 690 horsepower with the overboost function. It is powered by a 97 kWh battery, providing an estimated range of 627 kilometers on a full charge. This new GTS is a significant upgrade, offering 100 more horsepower and 119 extra kilometers of range compared to the previous GTS model.

The GTS features a unique suspension system, along with exterior design enhancements like gloss black accents. Buyers can choose between 20-inch or 21-inch wheels, both painted in Anthracite Grey. Inside, the GTS is equipped with Porsche's signature Race Tex fabric (similar to Alcantara), 18-way adjustable seats, and the Sport Chrono Package, which is standard for this model. The GTS also features exclusive soundtracks to enhance the driving experience, matching its sporty character.

The Taycan GTS is priced at $149,895 (approximately Rs 1.25 crore), while the GTS Cross Turismo variant starts at $151,795 (around Rs 1.28 crore), making it about $8,945 (approximately Rs 7.54 lakh) more expensive than the previous pre-facelift models.

Porsche Taycan 4 The Taycan 4 is the base trim of the Taycan, offering AWD performance. Previously, this model was only available in the Sport Turismo version, but now it is available as a sedan as well. The Taycan 4 generates 402 horsepower with the standard battery, or 429 horsepower with the upgraded pack. Its range varies from 478 to 643 kilometers, depending on the battery size chosen. The Taycan 4 also features an innovative system that decouples the front axle, allowing it to operate in rear-wheel-drive mode to increase range.

The Taycan 4 comes equipped with 19-inch wheels, adaptive air suspension, matrix LED headlights, and a high-quality 10-speaker sound system as standard. Prices for the Taycan 4 start at $105,295 (approximately Rs 88.87 lakh).
