350 policemen participating in Guard of Honor on 15th August parade living in isloation

New Delhi: More than 350 personnel of Delhi Police, who are going to join the Guard of Honor at Red Fort on Independence Day 2020, have been sent to the mandatory isolation due to the global epidemic coronavirus. While giving information in this regard on Sunday, the officials said that all these policemen from the constable to the DCP level have been sent in isolation in the newly constructed police colony in Delhi Cantonment.

Special Commissioner of Police (Armed Police) Robin Hibu, who is in charge of all these arrangements, has said that all 350 policemen are healthy and none have signs of corona infection. He said that they have been kept in isolation as a precautionary measure to ensure safety. Another senior police officer has said that all the police personnel who have been in isolation in the police colony for more than a week have been given all facilities and are strictly following the rules and Guideline.

He said that immediately after the parade practice, they sanitize themselves and all other necessary precautions are being taken care of. According to Delhi Police, more than 2,500 of its personnel have been victims of Coronavirus so far. Most of them have recovered and returned to service. Also, 14 Delhi Police personnel have also died due to coronavirus.
