Prime Minister Modi Concluded the 45-Hour Meditation at Vivekananda Rock Memorial - Kanyakumari: Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded his 45-hour meditation at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial on Saturday and paid tribute to Tamil saint poet Thiruvalluvar with a floral offering. Clad in white, Modi visited the 133-ft statue of Thiruvalluvar, adjacent to the rock memorial, where he placed a large garland as a mark of respect. He arrived at the statue complex via ferry and later returned to the shore using the same service.
During his stay at the memorial, the Prime Minister engaged in meditation and performed the spiritual ritual of 'Surya Arghya' at sunrise.
Modi, attired in saffron robes, meditated at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, known for its stunning views of the sunrise and sunset. Situated on a small islet near the shoreline, the memorial is a popular destination for spiritual and introspective activities.
The Prime Minister commenced his 45-hour meditation session at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial on the evening of May 30 and concluded it on Saturday.
Kanyakumari, located at the southernmost tip of India, serves as the meeting point of the country's Eastern and Western coastlines. It is also where the Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal, and Arabian Sea converge. Prime Minister Modi's visit to Kanyakumari is seen as a gesture of national unity.
On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded his election campaign in Punjab's Hoshiarpur for the final phase of the upcoming general elections scheduled for June 1. During the 75-day campaign period, Modi participated in approximately 206 election events, including rallies and roadshows, and conducted around 80 interviews with various news and media platforms.
Traditionally, at the conclusion of election campaigns, the Prime Minister undertakes spiritual journeys. In 2019, he visited Kedarnath, and in 2014, he visited Shivaji’s Pratapgarh.
