Lucknow: The opposition party Congress has started attacking over irregularities in power billing in UP. Yes, the Congress has become an attacker on the Yogi government. Recently, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi has targeted the Yogi government over the electricity bill. She has issued a statement for this in which she has said that UP has become a laboratory for electricity meters. Not only this, she has demanded to provide relief to the people of the state in electricity bills immediately and to provide electricity to farmers at half the rate. In her released statement, Priyanka Gandhi said, "There is a panic on rising electricity bills and electricity meters all over Uttar Pradesh. There has been a huge increase in electricity rates in the last few years. In the last 8 years, the rates of rural domestic consumers have increased. There has been an increase of 500 per cent, 84 per cent in urban domestic electricity rates and 126 per cent in electricity rates to farmers. The entire state is in trouble due to rising electricity rates. " Apart from this, she also said, 'Uttar Pradesh has become a laboratory for electricity meters. Electricity meters have been found to run many times faster. In homes where there are no locks, there is no electricity consumption, bills are also coming up to Rs 7-8 thousand in those houses. In many districts of the state, it was also seen that bills came without electricity meter installed. Priyanka Gandhi also says that, 'the public is plagued by inflation. The business of small businessmen has collapsed. Farmers are not buying crops. They are of no help in the event of floods, hailstorms and natural disasters. Crop insurance scheme has become a means of earning for big companies.
