Priyanka Gandhi Vadra appeal congress workers to help Assam-Bihar flood victims

New Delhi: Torrential rains in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar including the Northeast have caused flooding. More than two dozen districts of Assam have been hit by floods, while in UP and Bihar too many districts are facing floods. Millions of people have been affected by the floods and to help them, Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has extended her hand.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra tweeted on Monday that, 'Life is disrupted due to floods in many areas of Assam, Bihar and UP. Crisis is clouded over millions of people. We look forward to helping the people affected by the flood. I appeal to Congress workers and leaders to do everything possible to help the affected people. It is noteworthy that the Brahmaputra river has taken a frightening form in Assam. In most parts of the state, flood water remains a problem for life. Things are getting worse from bad to worse.

According to the data of Assam State Disaster Management Authority, 27 lakh 30 thousand people have been affected by floods in the state. So far 81 people have lost their lives due to floods.Floods have completely destroyed 8 districts in Bihar.
