Shimla: In view of the questions arising on the written examination of constable recruitment in Himachal Pradesh almost every year, the police headquarters has made preparations to make big changes in it. Headquarter has sent a proposal to the government to bring transparency. In which written exam is suggested to be done by Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission at Hamirpur. It has been argued that the Commission only conducts examinations. Therefore, from making a question paper for the exam, the entire written exam process should be done.

The police headquarters will arrange for the examination centre, its security and search of the candidates. The government will now take a decision in this meeting of the cabinet. During some exams, some mistakes were revealed in the option of question papers or their answers. Generally, these kinds of problems occur in examinations. But the police were questioned for irresponsible and lack of expertise. Due to this, a large section of officers in the police headquarters was considering to conduct the examination with the help of a third party.

Earlier options like HPU and HP School Education Board were being considered. But the headquarters has prepared a proposal for conducting written examinations from Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission. Recently, CM Jairam Thakur announced to fill one thousand posts of constable. However, COVID-19 spread in the country only after this announcement. Due to which the recruitment process was stopped in all departments including the police. Headquarter has sought approval to start the recruitment process. There is no definite decision on this yet.
