New Delhi: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the Uttar Pradesh Incharge of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), took target at Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday over the rising number of snatching instances in the state. The Congress's national secretary took to Twitter to express her displeasure with the current administration "The country's Home Minister uses the jumla (rhetoric) of "walking out laden with jewellery," but only the women of Uttar Pradesh know what they have to deal with on a daily basis. That is why the campaign "I am a girl, and I can fight" is vital to enhance women's participation in politics and the formulation of security-related legislation," she tweeted in Hindi. She also referred to a news item about recent criminal incidences in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur area. Shah lauded Uttar Pradesh's law and order situation last month in Lucknow, saying that today, even a 16-year-old girl may walk around wearing jewellery at 12 a.m. without fear of being attacked.
