Kochi: After losing his Lok Sabha membership, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has reached Wayanad for the first time. Along with him, his sister and National General Secretary of Congress, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, has also reached Wayanad. Here, Priyanka, while giving an emotional speech in front of the people of Wayanad, has said that my brother is the most truthful person in this world, who speaks openly and is not afraid of anyone. Addressing the people of Wayanad, Priyanka said that the forces of power are trying to remove him (Rahul), but he is standing firm. He understands your struggle, has worked for you, and has stood by your side. Priyanka also shared an anecdote describing Rahul's pain. Priyanka Gandhi told that when Rahul's Lok Sabha membership was lost, he had come to Wayanad to pack his belongings. Priyanka continued her point and said that I myself had packed my brother's luggage. I have my husband and children to help me, but he (Rahul) was sitting alone. Let us tell you that while Priyanka gave an emotional speech in Wayanad, on the other hand, Rahul Gandhi also kept his point in front of the people there. Describing the people here as his family, Rahul stressed that he has a special attachment to them. Rahul Gandhi said that when I came here four years ago and became your MP, the way of campaigning here was completely different. In a normal campaign, we talk about policies, but when I campaigned here, I felt as if I were among my own family. I am not from Kerala, but I got such love from you as if I were your own brother or son. Rahul Gandhi said that I realise what it means to be a parliamentarian. You have to touch people's hearts; they should be respected equally. Representing the people is a great thing, and to do so, it is necessary to understand their struggles. Targeting the centre in Wayanad, Rahul said that MP is just a tag, a post. But nothing can stop him from representing the people of Wayanad. He will always fight for the people here.
