New Delhi: Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju has hit back at the allegations made by prominent Congress leader Sonia Gandhi. Rijiju has attacked the Congress by saying that Indian democracy was murdered only once, in 1975. In fact, former Congress President Sonia Gandhi wrote an editorial attacking the Modi government, saying that the BJP government is systematically destroying the three pillars of India's democracy: the legislature, the executive, and the judiciary.

Responding to this, Rijiju has said that Indian democracy collapsed only once, in 1975, and that it has never happened after that or will never happen again. In fact, during the time of Indira Gandhi in 1975, an emergency was imposed in the country, and every leader and journalist who raised their voice was jailed. Countering Sonia's attack, the Union Minister said that we believe in the law. The spirit of democracy is alive in the country. All questions can be asked of the government, but don't question your own country. Sonia Gandhi giving a lecture on democracy? Today, the Congress is talking about the independence of the judiciary.

At the same time, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan hit back at the Congress after Sonia Gandhi's article, saying that hatred of Modi is a classic example of exaggerating the wrong priorities. He said that the country's oldest party, Congress, is facing a political crisis. Raising questions on the internal democracy of the Congress party, Pradhan has said that the party is being weakened by its circle of sycophants.
