Pune Police gets strict on those not wearing masks, fine of 1 crore imposed in a week

Pune: The Pune Police has started taking strict action against those who do not follow the rules, taking light of the danger of the virus epidemic. From September 2 to September 10, Pune Police, along with PMC, have cut the challan of 27,989 people showing a toughness against those who go out of the houses without taking a mask. Rs 13,994,500 has been collected till now by imposing fines.

Pune Police's DCP Bachchan Singh released data in this regard on Saturday, stating that between September 2 and September 10, a total of 27,989 people were found to be violating the rule, and 500 not wearing masks on each violator. A fine of Rs. 500 has been imposed on the ones who have not followed the rules of the Corona epidemic or posing a risk of infecting themselves and others by not wearing masks, a total of Rs 1,39,94,500 has been recovered so far as such fines. District Collector Rajesh Deshmukh says that nearly 1.5 crore rupees have been deposited in the rural areas of Pune as fines from non-masks.
