At the same time, he said the Taliban's occupation of Afghanistan is not good for India. Amarinder Singh feared a China-Pakistan conspiracy behind it and said China had already sought Taliban help against Uighur Muslims.

He said these developments are not giving the right signal and India should exercise extra vigilance along the border. Cm Amarinder Singh, who is remembering Sikhs trapped in Afghanistan today, said he was a vocal opponent of the "Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and had also talked about moving the Supreme Court against the law.
