New Delhi: BJP leader Tejinder Pal Singh Bagga has got a major relief from the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The court stayed his arrest till July 5. The Punjab and Haryana High Court will now hear the matter after the summer vacation. Let us know that an FIR was lodged against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in the case of his remarks against Bagga, then the Mohali court issued an arrest warrant for Bagga. Bagga had sought relief from arrest for the time being. Earlier, the hearing was held at the residence of Justice Anup Chitkara of the Punjab and Haryana High Court at the midnight on May 7 and Tejinder Bagga was granted relief from the arrest warrant till May 10. The court had said that no strict action should be taken against Tejinder Bagga. A case of inciting religious sentiments was registered against Bagga in Mohali on April 1 on the complaint of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Dr Sunny Singh. Bagga had attacked Kejriwal after his remarks on the film 'The Kashmir Files.' Bagga had termed Kejriwal as anti-Kashmiri Pandit. When the Punjab Police first came to Delhi to nab Bagga, he had to return to Bairang, because he was in Lucknow at the time. According to BJP leaders, for the second time, around 50 Punjab Police personnel were arresting Bagga from his house and taking him to Punjab, who was stopped by the Haryana Police on the information of the Delhi Police. Later, the Delhi Police returned to the capital with Bagga.
