IPL 2022: How did RCB lose even after scoring 205 runs? Read the inside story of Punjab's victory

New Delhi: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 witnessed a bang on Sunday evening. In this match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS), Punjab won. Batting first, RCB scored a mountain-like score of 205, but even after that, the team lost. Punjab Kings turned the entire match around in the final overs.

RCB scored 205 runs. RCB's new captain Faf du Plessis picked up the pace after a slow start and hit 88 off 57 balls. In his innings, Faf hit 7 sixes, apart from him, Virat Kohli scored 41 off 29 balls and Dinesh Karthik scored 32 off 14 balls. With the help of these innings, RCB scored 205 in 20 overs. PBKS also got off to a great start and the duo of captain Mayank Agarwal, Shikhar Dhawan wreaked havoc on the Bengaluru bowlers. Captain Mayank Agarwal scored 32 off 24 balls, while Shikhar Dhawan scored 43 off 29 balls. Bhanuka Rajapaksa also scored 43 off 22 balls. But the real game for Punjab was overturned by Odien Smith and Shah Rukh Khan. 

In fact, when Punjab needed 44 runs in the last 24 balls, Odine Smith missed the catch in the same over. After this, Punjab Kings needed 36 runs in 3 overs i.e. 18 balls. In the 18th over itself, Odien Smith scored a lot of runs and scored 25 runs. Odigne hit 3 sixes and a four in the over. In the same over, Punjab's victory was confirmed and in the end, Shah Rukh Khan also made the team victorious by 5 wickets by hitting a six, a four.
