Chandigarh: The ongoing tussle in the Congress party before the assembly elections in Punjab has not stopped yet. In the middle of the controversy, Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu along with six party MLAs including State Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa reached madanlal's house in Patiala on Sunday along with MLA. Sidhu is said to have arrived here to end the ongoing feud in the Congress. Captain Amarinder Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu are in a constant state of meeting with the leaders due to the controversy. The leader Navjot Singh Sidhu had earlier also held a meeting with Congress MLAs from the state. On the other hand, CM Captain Amarinder Singh also held a meeting with his nearest ministers and MLAs and MPs. This has heated up the politics of the state. Several senior Congress party leaders have also held discussions with the two to resolve the dispute between the two leaders. Punjab in-charge Harish Rawat had met Amarinder Singh last day in this regard. With this, Navjot Singh Sidhu may be given the responsibility of the post of President of Punjab Congress. Amid political discussions on a possible organisational change in the Punjab Congress, sources said the rift in the party's state unit will be resolved soon.
