New Delhi: Russian President Vladimir Putin is likely to visit India next month to attend an annual summit. India is also expected to get delivery of the first batch of S-400 Air Defence Missile System during the same period. Through this tour, the forum will be set for both sides to renew their military-technical cooperation in the near future. Bilateral talks between the Defence and Foreign Ministers of India and Russia will be held in Moscow ahead of Putin's visit to India. According to media reports, people familiar with the matter, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the talks would lay the foundation for Putin's summit. He said the first batch of the S-400 system is scheduled to be available to India by December. Putin is likely to be in New Delhi in the second week of December for the annual summit with PM Narendra Modi. Both sides are looking at December 6 as the most likely date for this meeting. At the upcoming summit, India and Russia are likely to renew their military-technical cooperation regime for 2021-31 and sign several agreements in defence, trade and science and technology.
