Putting up objectionable posters against PM Modi, 6 arrested in Delhi

New Delhi: Over 100 FIRs have been filed and 6 people have been arrested in connection with objectionable posters, including those with derogatory remarks against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, across New Delhi.

As per the allegations, some parts of New Delhi also had posters with the caption "Modi Hatao Desh Bachao" Special CP Deependra Pathak said,  the Delhi Police has filed more than 100 FIRs, and six persons have been detained for posting offensive posters throughout the city, including ones that were critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Unfortunately, neither the printing press nor the publisher were mentioned in the posters. The Delhi Police acted quickly and launched an inquiry into the situation.

The police said, the FIR was filed in many districts throughout the city in accordance with the Printing Press Act and the Defacement of Property Act.

A van was also stopped as soon as it departed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) office, saidSpecial CP. A few posters were seized, and people were also detained.  Further investigation is underway in the case.
