PV Sindhu who claimed Syed Modi International GP Titles and Saina Nehwal, who triumphed in Malaysia Masters, are powered together for the wo0men's singles. Barring them, Tanvi Lad and Rituparna Das are also chosen but they might not get the opportunity as the event is supposed to have one play in each women's singles, men's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles. Sameer Verma, Syed Modi Grand Prix gold winner will be playing for India in men's singles. B Sumeeth Reddy and Manu Attri, Rio Olympians and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, juvenile partners will have the game in their hands in men's doubles. Pranaav Jerry Chopra and N Sikki Reddy, conquerors of Grand Prix Gold title and Sikki with Ashwini Ponappa too will be pairing for mixed doubles. For the mixed team tournament, Asia's Brobdingnagian China, Korea, Japan, Malaysia will be facing the competition. Groups are allocated to the countries. India is crowded with Korea and Singapore in Group D. China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong are categorized in Group A. While Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka are headed in Group B and Japan, Thailand, Vietnam and Philippines are given Group C.
