Punjab's first Dalit CM Charanjeet Singh Channi to take oath at 11 pm today

Chandigarh: The name of the next Chief Minister of Punjab has come to light following the resignation of Captain Amarinder Singh. The Congress high command has made Charanjeet Singh Channi, a cabinet minister, he is three-time MLA, the new Chief Minister of Punjab. In fact, ahead of the Assembly elections in Punjab in February-March next year, the Dalit Sikh face has been given the command. Channi will now be sworn in as chief minister at 11 am today i.e. On the other hand, Channi was also congratulated by former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and said, "We have to continue to fulfil the promises made to the people of Punjab. Their faith is paramount.''

As soon as Charanjeet Singh Channi's name was announced, he first visited Raj Bhavan in Chandigarh and met the Governor.
