Rahul Gandhi will be ‘Next PM’: MK Stalin

Chennai: As the counting begins, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) president MK Stalin has again batted for Congress president Rahul Gandhi as the next prime minister of India. On Wednesday at an Iftar event, he said that the DMK will come to power in Tamil Nadu and Rahul Gandhi will become the PM. Mr. Stalin chief said the BJP-led NDA government would be out of power after the Lok Sabha election results are in.

"This 'Iftar' is unique from the previous one. Because what we said is going to come true tomorrow, and the Central and state governments would go," said Stalin.

Debunking exit polls, Stalin expressed doubts over the credibility of the predictions they had made on Sunday.

"The exit poll is not the real one. It is manufactured at someone's order. Rahul Gandhi would be our prime minister if we get the numbers in our favor. We never change our mind. I said in the beginning. I would say it tomorrow as well. There is a possibility of going to Delhi at any time," he said.

According to the exits polls, the NDA has been tipped to return to power by a majority.
