New Delhi: The 21st match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) was played between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Gujarat Titans (GT). There was a clash between the two teams at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. In this match, SRH registered a great victory by eight wickets. Even after the win, a piece of worrying news came out in this match for SRH. Rahul Tripathi suffered a shin strain during the match, due to which he could not extend his innings. This happened after he hit a six off the first ball in the 14th over. The physio came to the field to treat Rahul Tripathi, but he was not in a position to bat and he had to leave the field faltering. By the time of retiring hurt, Rahul had scored 17 off 11 balls with the help of a four and as many sixes. Batting first after losing the toss in the match, GT scored 162 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Skipper Hardik Pandya was not out for 50 off 42 balls with the help of four fours and a six. Along with this, Abhinav Manohar also played a useful inning of 35 runs. For SRH, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and T Natarajan dismissed two players each. In reply, SRH won the match with five balls to spare. Captain Kane Williamson contributed 57 and Abhishek Sharma (42). Nicholas Pooran also played a key role in the victory with an unbeaten 34 off 18 balls. Earlier on Sunday, Rajasthan Royals (RR) batsman Ravichandran Ashwin was retd out in the match against LSG, becoming the first player to be retd out in the history of IPL.
