Jaipur: A tragic accident occurred in a government hospital in the Bhilwara district of Rajasthan. In fact, on Wednesday (October 26), two newborns died due to overheating of warmers at the Mother and Child Hospital of Mahatma Gandhi's NICU here. This painful accident happened due to the negligence of the staff. Giving information in this regard, the police have said that a girl and a boy were among the dead children. While the 21-day-old girl died at the same time, the other child succumbed to her injuries on Thursday (October 27). Hospital authorities have informed that two contractual nursing staff, who were on duty at the time of the death of the children, have been dismissed and an inquiry committee has been formed with immediate effect. The deceased girl was kept in NICU on October 5 due to being underweight. After the ruckus was created by the families of the deceased children, the hospital hurriedly dismissed the contractual nursing staff on duty. An official said that action will be taken in the case based on the investigation of the committee formed.
