Rajasthan Cabinet Reshuffle: New Ministers May Take Oath Tomorrow

Rajasthan: According to sources, the Governor's house will host an oath-taking ceremony for new ministers in the Rajasthan government on Sunday, November 21, at 4 p.m. This comes after three Rajasthan Cabinet ministers namely Govind Singh Dotasra, Raghu Sharma, and Harish Chaudhary, wrote to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi to indicate their willingness to resign.

Dotasra, the president of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC), announced his resignation from his ministerial role on Saturday, citing the Congress's 'Ek Pad Ek Vyakti' discipline. "We have submitted our resignations to Congress president Sonia Gandhi in accordance with the party's 'Ek Pad Ek Vyakti' discipline. I'll work as a party activist to ensure that the people of Rajasthan benefit from the state government's programmes "he stated

For the past year, there have been calls for Gehlot's cabinet to be expanded, particularly when disputes between Gehlot and party leader Sachin Pilot became public. Gehlot announced three days ago that the cabinet would be restructured soon. The state Cabinet currently has 21 members, including the chief minister. Because the state has a total of 200 MLAs, the Cabinet can only have a maximum of 30 members.
