Another shock to Mamata Banerjee, Rajib Banerjee resigns as MLA

Kolkata: Union Home Minister and former National President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Amit Shah is arriving in Kolkata on a two-day visit to Bengal tomorrow. Prior to her visit, Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress (TMC) once again seems to be in a panic. TMC leader Rajib Banerjee has resigned from the post of MLA today. Please tell me that he has already resigned from various posts of the party.

After Rajiv's resignation, speculation is rife that he may join BJP in the presence of Amit Shahi. After resigning, he said, "Today I have resigned as a TMC MLA. I have submitted my resignation to the West Bengal Legislative Speaker.” However, when he was coming out of the assembly premises after submitting his resignation, the photo of TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee was also with him.

Explain that exactly a week ago, on January 22, Rajib Banerjee resigned from his ministerial post. At that time there were speculations that he might leave the ruling party to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) before the crucial assembly elections in April-May.
