Lucknow: After the death of Amar Singh, a member of Rajya Sabha from SP, now his seat has been declared vacant by the Election Commission. The by-election for the seat vacated after the death of Amar Singh will be held on September 11. The Election Commission has announced this. SP made Amar Singh a member of the Rajya Sabha from UP. After Amar Singh, the party suspended him due to poor relations with the SP. Even after this, his membership was not revoked. He was a Rajya Sabha member from UP under the SP quota. Recently, senior SP leader Beni Prasad Verma also died. For his vacant seat, BJP's Jayaprakash Nishad has been elected an unopposed Rajya Sabha member. Notification will be issued on August 25 on the vacant seat after Amar Singh's demise. The last date for nomination in this by-election is September 1. The nomination papers will be examined by September 2. The withdrawal date will be September 4, while the voting will be done on September 11. Voting will be held from 9 am to 4 pm. Its counting will be done at five o'clock in the evening. The election process will be completed on 14 September. The term of the member to be elected on this seat declared vacant from August 1, will be till September 4, 2022. It is now to see who is selected for the vacant seat. However, no one's name has been confirmed yet.
