New Delhi: On Wednesday, December 15, the Rajya Sabha will hold a brief discussion on the issue arising from Omicron variant cases reported across the country. At least nine members have issued statements regarding the Omicron variant issue, which has become more prevalent in other parts of the world and has been reported in the country as well. So far, six people in the capital city have tested positive for the novel Omicron variant. With four new Omicron cases confirmed in Delhi, India now has 53 Omicron cases. According to the Union health ministry, India reported 5,784 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours, the lowest number in 571 days, bringing the total number of cases to 3,47,03,644.
