Rajya Sabha winter session to adjourn till mid noon today

New Delhi: Following an uproar by Opposition parties on numerous issues, the Rajya Sabha has been delayed till mid-noon today, Wednesday, December 1.

When Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu adopted the motion moved by the government seeking direction from the chair for the selection of a member of the Upper House to be a member of the court of the University of Allahabad, members of the Congress, DMK, AAP, Left, and Trinamool Congress stood on their seats, while TRS members entered the well.

TRS entered the well waving a placard and shouting slogans on the need for a national policy on foodgrain procurement. In the meanwhile, Parliament's winter session began on Monday and will end on December 23.
