Rakesh Tikait says 'big scam in name of MSP'

New Delhi: The dispute between farmers' organizations and the Central government over agricultural laws is on the rise. Both sides are adamant about their demands. While farmers say that the government will have to enact a law on minimum support price (MSP), the government says it is ready to assure MSP in writing. Meanwhile, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait has alleged that the government has been cheating farmers for a long time in giving MSP and they will soon unearth the entire scam.

Talking to a TV channel on Wednesday, Bhakiu spokesperson Rakesh Tikait alleged that there has been a major scam in government procurement of crops. Tikait said that where there are schools, where other buildings have been erected. The produce was sold to the government on MSP by showing the fields to those places and a big scam was committed in the name of government procurement. Tikait claimed to have made a big revelation in the matter and said, 'We will give you the document. Farming is being shown at the places where schools and buildings are being constructed there. Wheat and paddy are weighed in his name. We have full measles numbers, whole phone numbers, names of people who don't even have a bigha land in their name. It is MSP that this is happening in a fake manner in their name. We would like the Government to look into it. '

Tikait further said, "Wheat is 80 percent fake balance, 20 percent is compared to the farmer. Paddy is 95 percent fake and 5 percent is comparable to the farmer." He said that in this entire case, we have collected documents and all the documents will be given to the press.
