Debina Banerjee escape by scorching fire on set of Ramayana

Regardless of the care taken during the shooting of TV shows. But often accidents happen and people's lives are in danger. Something similar happened on the sets of Ramayana, when the show's DOP saved Sita-turned-Debina Banerjee from scorching fire. Also a remake of Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana was aired in 2008, directed by Anand Sagar. During the shooting of this new Ramayana, there were often such incidents on the set, which could be fatal for some or the other. One such incident happened to Sita aka Debina. Gurmeet Chaudhary, who plays Ram in the show, says, " The scene of marriage was being shot after Swayamvar."

He added, "Debina was wearing her crown on the head and there was something that was also flammable. The scarf on the head was very long, which went unnoticed. Dupatta went to the Havan Kund and caught fire. The DOP (Director of Photography) saw it and made a noise while showing readiness. I took the scarf off my head and threw it away. If it does not go away then it could have caused a lot of damage." While the new Ramayana is being broadcast on Dangal TV, Ankit Arora played Laxman in the Ramayana, while Akhilendra Mishra was in the role of Ravana.

This Ramayana was broadcast on NDTV Imagine for the first time. The show ran for about a year and a half. Mythological shows are being broadcast on many channels during the lockdown. It started with the Ramayana serial which aired on Doordarshan's DD National, which was very successful. One episode of this set the record for the most watched show in the world. Now this serial is being shown on Star Plus. Shows like Uttar Ramayana, Shra Krishna and Vishnu Purana are also being broadcast these days.
