Azam Khan's Jauhar University gets bulldozer of administration, allegations of illegal possession

Rampur: The district administration fired a bulldozer on the boundary of Johar University's senior Samajwadi Party (SP) leader from Rampur and MP of Rampur Lok Sabha seat Azam Khan on Thursday afternoon. The boundary of the university was built on the land of Government Chakrod. Sadar Prem Prakash Tiwari, Rampur Deputy District Magistrate, reached the Johar University with a police force at around 2:30 pm on Thursday and opened a bulldozer on the wall prepared by occupying the government check load.

This wall of Jauhar University was built towards the village of Aliyaganj. During the tenure of the Samajwadi Party (SP), the land was given to the Gram Panchayat in second place in lieu of the government's land by giving it to Jauhar University. Uttar Pradesh Revenue Council considered the exchange of land to be wrong and issued an order to vacate it.

The Deputy District Magistrate issued notice against Muhammad Ali Johar University Registrar and Chancellor Azam Khan for two weeks to remove the construction from government land. When there was no initiative to remove the construction from the university administration within the stipulated time period, the administration took a bulldozer while acting on it.
