Surjewala speaks on farmers' agitation 'court decides constitutional issues, not political dishonesty'

New Delhi: There is no consensus reached even after 8 rounds of talks between farmers' organizations and the central government opposing the three new agricultural laws. In the last meeting, the Government had also given advice to the farmers to go to the apex court. On the suggestion of the government, Congress has opened a front against the government.

Party national spokesperson Randeep Surjewala has said that the Supreme Court's job is to pronounce judgment on constitutional issues, while agricultural law is a conspiracy to sell farming. Surjewala further said, "The Supreme Court decides constitutional issues, not the conspiracy to sell political dishonesty farming on the porch of capitalists." Surjewala further said that the question here is to eliminate the minimum support price (MSP) and the antagonists in the three anti-agricultural laws and to make the farmers slaves in their own fields. It is necessary for the government to repeal the law.

Surjewala further said that the farmers cannot be defeated only by implicating the farmers in the turn of dates. The Congress leader said that anyway, the apex court has asked the government to consider the demand of farmers and address the problem. Then there is no point in asking the farmers to go to the apex court.
