Shahid Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut and Saif Ali Khan starrer Vishal Bhardwaj’s directorial Rangoon which is set during World War II, has undergone a sea change days before its release. Reveals the source, "Seventy shots have been removed from the film after it was censored and certified a month ago." The movie re-edited by the makers and then was submitted to CBFC for re-certification. The film got shorter by 13 minutes. "The original length of the film was two hours 47 minutes after censoring. Now it is two hours and 34 minutes long. The product looks slicker and feels lighter. When the Board members saw it they immediately warmed up to the re-edited product," says the source. CBFC source said, "I think the earlier version of Rangoon was done too early. This was done so it could be eligible for some film festivals. A fresh edited version came to us on Monday and we loved it."
